The first major event to take place is The 66th Annual Fairhope Arts & Craft Festival scheduled for March 16th – 18th along the beautiful iconic streets of downtown Fairhope, AL. This three-day festival draws in almost 300,000 visitors and showcases stunning and one-of-a-kind creations from 200+ artists from all over the U.S! The next big event is The Annual Interstate Mullet Toss at the world-famous Flora-Bama Lounge. Running April 27-29, this all-day beach party hosts a fish-throwing tournament attracting competitors of all ages. You can be a part of this long-standing tradition of throwing a slippery mullet over the state-line for just a $15 entry fee which includes an official Mullet Toss t-shirt! During the same weekend and several hundreds miles east, Panama City will hold its first alternative-rock music festival on its beautiful sugar white beaches. Set for April 26-28, SandJam Fest will treat beach-goers with musical performances from famous bands Incubus, Sublime with Rome, Fitz & The Tantrums, and many more! Just a few weeks later, starting May 2, the beaches of Panama City will become alive again during the 20th Thunder Beach Motorcycle Rally. Bikers numbering in the tens of thousands will dominate the roadways for a 4-day bash that stretches for miles along the city’s beachfront. This lively event has become such a hit it occurs twice a year – in the spring and fall. Back over in Alabama, the famous Hangout Music Fest will commence during the 3rd week of May attracting approximately 35,000 concert-goers. This 3-day festival will bring big-name musical performers to Gulf Shores beaches. Headliners include The Killers, Kendrick Lamar, The Chainsmokers, Portugal. The Man, Logic, and Halsey.
